KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Bellevue University has been chosen to host one of nine 2021 NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round Sites, as announced by the NAIA national office Monday afternoon.

The Bruins will host the NAIA Opening Round – Bellevue Bracket, scheduled for May 17-20, at Don Roddy Field on the campus of Bellevue East High School. BU previously hosted both the 2015 and 2017 Opening Rounds at Roddy Field, reaching the championship round in both events.

The Opening Round features a five-team, double-elimination format.

Bellevue wrapped up a 34-14 regular season by taking three of four from Waldorf over the weekend to secure the program's fourth North Star Athletic Association regular-season title with a 15-5 league mark. The Bruins are the top seed in this weekend's NSAA Tournament and face Dakota State in the first round on Friday, May 7 at 11 a.m.

The field for the Bellevue Bracket, along with the other eight brackets, will be announced on the NAIA Baseball National Championship Selections Show on Thursday, May 13 at 4 p.m. and can be viewed here.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

All games will be live-streamed via the Bellevue Stretch Portal with BU play-by-play broadcaster Mick Krupski handling the call for all games.
