Mullins' game-by-game statistics
POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Bellevue University senior third baseman Nate Mullins was named this week's Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference's Player of the Week in announcement made today.
A native of Snohomish, Wash., Mullins batted .688 with four doubles, one triple, two home runs and 10 RBIs to lead the Bruins to a 5-0 record last week. He registered three multi-hit games and scored a run in every game.
In Bellevue's 9-1 conference victory over Waldorf College on March 20, he went 4-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, one home run and three RBIs.
For the season, he's batting .360 with nine doubles, two triples and five home runs. Mullins leads the team with 29 RBIs and has also scored 20 runs and stolen five bases.
This marks the first time in his two-year Bruin career Mullins was named the Conference's Player of the Week.
Bellevue is currently ranked No. 14 in the NAIA and own an 18-6-2 overall record and a 7-1 mark in the MCAC.
The Bruins will return to action on Friday-Saturday, March 28-29 when they travel to Bartlesville, Okla. to battle conference-leader Oklahoma Wesleyan University (26-5, 4-0 MCAC).
